Junior high graduation is a big deal in Japan. Instead of all going to the same high school next, students get split up based on their test scores into schools all over the prefecture. So the graduation ceremony is really sad. The third years sing songs to their parents, which makes everyone cry. Then the first and second years sing a song to the third years saying how much they will be missed, which makes everyone cry. These are all pictures after the ceremony, when everyone is happier.

Sarah’s sister Erin came to visit us in Japan in March. We took her all over Kyushu and hopefully showed her a good time. Our favorite activity while she was here was imitating almost everything we saw, hence many of these photos. Erin also brings out the weirder side of Sarah, so many of these pictures are also silly.
