I was Nobita, a character from from the Japanese comic book/cartoon Doraemon, for Halloween. My obsession with Doraemon knows no bounds. I have key chains, toys, plush animals, cell phone jangles, stickers and temporary tattoos that I thought were stickers, all featuring the cute blue cat-like robot from the future. Clearly, it’s time for me to leave Japan for the much more normal, but much less cute, United States.
